Project Description

Lantern Workshop with Myths and Mirrors

In celebration of the winter solstice, NISA has partnered withe Myths and Mirrors Community Arts for a lantern-making project. At the time of year when the sun is retreating, we will explore darkness and celebrate the light that will once again return.

Join us on Tuesday December 2nd at 1pm, or on Tuesday December 9th at 1pm, where we will be making lanterns and embeding artwork which responds to the question “What helps you to survive and thrive in dark times?”

All participants (and community members) will be invited to come to a community celebration on the evening of the 21st of December. We will bring our lanterns together, share what we find in the darkness, and celebrate the light returning.

Hope to see you here!
