July is Physical Wellness Month at NISA, and with the intention of connecting fully to the great outdoors, and caring for our bodies, we have a fantastic series of activities to participate in!

Registration is required for all of these events. Please secure your spot by visiting the sign-up board at NISA. 

Lunch with a Lake Concert

On Friday July 3rd, please bring a lunch and meet at NISA for 11:15am. We will be taking the 11:30am Regent University bus from the transit centre to enjoy our lunches while listening to beautiful live music offered by various Sudbury musicians.


On Wednesday July 8th from 1:00-1:45pm, get active and try something new with Zumba! Participants can expect to enjoy music and cut loose while exercising with this feature event. Please wear comfortable clothing and running shoes.

Lake Laurentian Hike

Are you looking to get active and find some peace of mind? Come join us and spend the day reconnecting with nature and yourself on Friday July 10th and Friday July 17th. We will be hiking the Lake Laurentian Conservation Area trails. Please wear comfortable clothing (plus a hat, sunscreen, and rain jacket, if necessary), running shoes, and be sure to bring your own lunch, snacks, and water.

We’ll be meeting in the front lobby at 9:30am. The bus departs from the transit centre at 9:45am.

Brown Bag Lunch

On Monday July 13th at 12pm, right after Sharing Circle, we will be walking over to Bell Park to enjoy a meal with one another. Please bring your own brown bag lunch and get ready for an afternoon of soaking in the sun.

Ruby Berry Farms

On Wednesday July 15th at 9am, NISA will be heading to Ruby Berry Farms in Chelmsford to pick starwberries. Please indicate your interest on our program sign-up sheet no later than Monday July 13th so that rides to the farm can be arranged.

On Thursday July 16th at 11am, we will be making a delicious treat with the berries that were picked. If you didn’t make it to the farm, members are welcome to contribute to the workshop by bringing in butter, sugar, or a cup of any kind of berries.

Laughter Yoga

On Wednesday July 22nd at 1pm, get ready to LAUGH! Laughter yoga is a guided session that helps you relax, oxygenate your body and have fun! This is a great opportunity to try something new and bring some joy into your life!

Picnic at Bell Park

Finally, on Wednesday July 29th at 11am, we will be meeting at NISA to enjoy a picnic together at Bell Park. Please bring your own lunch and refreshments.
