‘Alternatives to Suicide’ Mutual Support Group Facilitator Training
COMING TO SUDBURY THIS FALL!
October 30 to November 1, 2017
“Alternatives to Suicide” groups are facilitated by people who openly identify as suicide attempt survivors or as having struggled significantly with thoughts of ending their lives. If you want to learn new ways to talk about your distress, and how to help others with theirs, this opportunity is open to you. From Monday, October 30 to Wednesday, November 1, the 3-day course will be hosted by NISA. The training will prepare you to advocate for, facilitate and sustain “Alternatives to Suicide” groups.
Since 2009, the Western Mass Recovery Learning Community has been facilitating training in enhancing understanding and strategies in supporting someone who is having feelings of deep emotional distress, including thoughts of suicide.
