Get Loud for national Mental Health Week: May 1-7
This week is all about actively engaging with others on all issues related to mental health awareness and advocacy. See below for what is happening each day at NISA! Get involved for your own well-being, as well as for the benefit of others!
Monday, May 1 at 10am: Wellness Walk to Memorial Park (postponed due to the rain)
Tuesday, May 2 at 1pm: Clean-Up in the Grotto (contingent on sunnier skies)
Wednesday, May 8: Lemonade and donut sale + quilt donation at the North Bay Regional Health Centre
Over the past few months, members of our Warm Hearts/Warm Bodies program have been making special lap quilts for patients in the dementia unit at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. At 11am, we will be dropping off these made-from-the-heart quilts, in addition to selling delicious freshly-made donoughts from Leinala’s Bakery and refreshing lemonade from Smith’s Market. Proceeds raised from this sale will be going towards our Defeat Depression Walk/Run fundraiser on May 27.
