Our 8-week Narrative Painting series returns!
As you may have heard on CBC radio and read from The Sudbury Star, this past month at Artists on Elgin, we have held an exhibit called the The Story of Us: A Narrative Painting Collective. This exhibit is the result of a three-month workshop facilitated by Kim Mullin and we are thrilled to announce that we will have Kim back for another 8-week Narrative Painting session! Classes will be held every Tuesday from 10am-12pm, for 8-weeks, starting March 8th.
This session will allow you to explore your life experiences through the form of narrative mixed-media paintings. Each week will focus on new skills, such as painting techniques, the use of expressive colour, and transfer of photography, among others. You’ll discover what colours and images are important to you, how lines represent different feelings, and the many ways you can represent the stories of your life.
This class is open to the community. To register please contact our Programs Coordinator, Kaarina Ranta at 705-222-6472 ext. 305. Participants are also welcome to show up to individual sessions, but are encouraged to commit to the whole 8-weeks – it’s a richer experience for you if you do!
