More Ways to Support NISA:
For Individuals
• Donate – whether you want to support us with a cash donation, or by donating supplies, reach out, we are looking for quilting materials 10×10 or larger, magazines, and more. NISA is a charitable organization, and donation receipts are available.
• Volunteer – Our volunteers are our lifeblood. Without them, we wouldn’t be here today. Contact us for more information about volunteer opportunities at NISA.
• Subscribe – Open Minds Quarterly is a psychosocial literary magazine published by NISA. You can keep this important publication alive with your support.
• Tell everyone – about NISA! If you know someone with lived experience of mental illness or mental health challenges, encourage them to visit us.
• Write a letter – Letters of support to your MP, our MPP, and the Ontario Minister of Health help to ensure that NISA remains in view of important decision-makers.
• Bequest – Leave a bequest to NISA/Northern Initiative for Social Action.
For businesses and Organizations
• Sponsor – Sponsorship opportunities are available. Your organization’s name can be at the forefront of NISA events and awareness campaigns. Mental health concerns everyone. Make it your organization’s cause.
• Donate prizes – We like to offer prize packs to NISA members who go beyond the call of duty, and we always appreciate items we can raffle. Can your company send something along?
• Subscribe – Subscribe to our literary magazine Open Minds Quarterly – we have a subscription package for organizations. Mental illness affects one in four people. You never know who in your office may need it.
• Volunteer – We often have opportunities for volunteers! Encourage your employees to participate in our local events.
